On July 23rd, Julie Lapham, community outreach coordinator at ENH Power, presented Kathy Beebe, executive director at Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) with a check for their work together.
A Portsmouth based organization, SASS offers support services to people who struggle and cope with sexual violence. Some of their services include 24-hour advocacy from police stations, hospitals, and courts, as well as a confidential hotline, along with education for local schools. Beebe, who was enthusiastic about the donation said SASS “has some big plans” for how the money will be used.
“SASS is so excited and appreciative of the partnership with ENH Power! The money raised will assist SASS in reaching thousands of children with our K-12 school-based Safe Kids Strong Teens prevention program that is designed to keep our kids safe from sexual abuse, bullying and teen dating violence,” said Beebe.
ENH Power is a New England company that is dedicated to helping strengthen communities, which is why the Power to Help Fund was put into place. The goal is always to help people in need—a big reason why partnering with nonprofits makes the most sense.
