Purpose of Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to Provider Power Mass. Accordingly, Provider Power Mass provides these policies so that you understand how Provider Power Mass collects, uses and, in certain circumstances discloses, the information that you provide and/or that is automatically provided to Provider Power Mass as a result of your visiting and using the Site. This Privacy Policy also explains the steps Provider Power Mass has taken to secure your personal information. Finally, this Privacy Policy explains your options regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. By visiting the Site, you accept the practices described in this Policy. Provider Power Mass is not responsible for the content or privacy practices on any third party web site that may be linked to or from the Site. How Information is Collected

Provider Power Mass collects information from and about you in several different ways via the Site.

  • Enrolling and Purchasing. Before using certain parts of this Site or enrolling to purchase electricity via a Supply Contract, you must complete an online registration form. During registration, you will be prompted to provide to Provider Power Mass certain personal information, including but not limited to your name, billing address(es), meter address (es), phone number, email address, utility account number and meter number. In addition, Provider Power Mass may also ask you for your country of residence and/or your organization’s country of operation, so Provider Power Mass can comply with applicable laws and regulations, and for your gender. This personal information is used for billing purposes, fulfilling your orders, and communicating with you about your Supply Contract and the Site, and for internal marketing purposes. If Provider Power Mass encounters a problem when processing your order, it will use your personal information to contact you.
  • Email Addresses. Several locations of the Site permit you to enter your email address for purposes, including, without limitation, to sign up for Provider Power Mass’s email newsletters and special alerts. Your submissions for these purposes are completely voluntary, so you have a choice whether to participate and disclose information to Provider Power Mass. Provider Power Mass uses this information to communicate with you regarding matters related to your Supply Contract and other matters related to this Agreement.
  • Automatically Generated and Collected Information. In addition to information that you volunteer as described above, the Site utilizes technologies to collect information and track your user experience. Provider Power Mass will use this information to improve the Site and user experience. In addition, the Site automatically recognizes the Internet URL from which you access this Site and may also log your Internet protocol (“IP”) address (which may indicate the location of your computer on the Internet), Internet service provider, and date/time stamp for system administration, order verification, internal marketing, and system troubleshooting purposes.
  • Age. Provider Power Mass respects children’s privacy and will not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from children under age 13. As stated in the Terms of Use, you have represented and warranted that you are at least are 18 years of age or using the Site with the supervision of a parent or guardian. If you are under the age of 13, do not, under any circumstance, submit any personal information to us and always rely on a parent or guardian to assist you.

Generally, Provider Power Mass collects the above information to improve your experience at the Site, to improve the products and services that Provider Power Mass sells via the Site and otherwise and to communicate with you regarding the Site and Provider Power Mass’s products and services.

In the event Provider Power Mass uses your email address to communicate with you, it will provide you with the option to unsubscribe or opt out of future emails. Please note that Provider Power Mass may have to communicate with you about your enrollment for services. Accordingly, you cannot opt out of receiving enrollment-related emails.

Provider Power Mass will not sell, rent, trade, license or otherwise disclose your specific personal information or financial information to anyone, except that: (1) Provider Power Mass uses third parties to perform specific functions on its behalf and it must disclose information to help those parties perform their services; (2) Provider Power Mass must disclose your name and account number and meter number and information to financial services and to utility bill processing departments in order to process your purchases; (3) Provider Power Mass may be required to disclose such information in response to a legal process, order or investigation (for example, a subpoena or court order); (4) Provider Power Mass may disclose personal information where disclosure is necessary to protect its legal rights or to protect itself or others (for example, in order to reduce the risk of fraud or illegal activities); (5) Provider Power Mass may acquire, merge with or be acquired by another company or it might sell some or all of its assets, and, in such a case, Provider Power Mass may disclose your personal information to another company (but such disclosure will otherwise be subject to Provider Power Mass’s Privacy Policy); and (6) Provider Power Mass may sell, rent, trade, license, use and disclose non-personal information and aggregate information, so long as such information does not personally identify you or any user.


The Site incorporates physical, electronic, and administrative procedures to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal information, including Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) for all financial transactions through the Site. Provider Power Mass uses SSL encryption to protect your personal information online, and Provider Power Mass also takes steps to protect your personal information in Provider Power Mass’s facilities. Further, Provider Power Mass relies on third-party service providers to implement those security procedures set out by the NAESB, including the use and maintenance of public encryption keys for each enrollment-related transmission to the Utility by Provider Power Mass, as required. Such third-party service providers also implement those security procedures typical to the industry to maintain Documents in its possession. Provider Power Mass believes that their security procedures are adequate. While Provider Power Mass believes that it uses industry-standard precautions to safeguard your personal information, as is the case with all web sites, it cannot guarantee complete security.

Opt Out and Corrections

Upon your request, Provider Power Mass will (a) correct or update your personal information; (b) stop sending emails to your email address; and/or (c) disable your account to prevent any future purchases through that account. These requests should be directed to:

Applicability & Revisions

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected via the Site and does not apply to information collected offline (for example, via phone calls and/or fax orders). Provider Power Mass may modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time without notification to you. The current version of this Privacy Policy will be posted to You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy from time to time.


This Privacy Policy is governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of Massachusetts, without respect to conflict of laws principles. All disputes shall be resolved as described in Provider Power Mass‘s Terms of Use agreement.
