Coming off 3 top 5 finishes in the last 4 races, the Chris Bowie owner/driver of the Electricity Maine #6 Late Model took the checkered flag Saturday night (July 19) at Wiscasset Speedway.

After taking a hiatus from racing, this is Bowie’s first feature victory in 10 years, his first ever at Wiscasset.   In Victory Lane, Bowie was pretty emotional,  “We worked our butt off trying to figure out this track!  I need to thank my crew.  I also want to thank my sponsor, Electricity Maine.  They have made this possible.”

After 6 races the Late Model Division at Wiscasset has been very competitive this year, with no repeat winners.    The top 5 racers in the division only separated by 30 points, Bowie came into the race in 11th overall.

Ken and Vanessa Jordan continue to make upgrades to Wiscasset Speedway.   Just last week the the backstretch wall was moved back several fee.  Car counts have grown and fans are taking notice.  With general admission seats at just $5, the averaging weekly attendance is between 800-1ooo people.

Wiscasset has racing every Saturday with the Late Model Division running every other week.  Upcoming race dates include:

Aug 2, 16, 30 (Fan appreciation Night).
