Fresh of its first victory of the season, the Electricity Maine #6 car made a surprise visit to Camp Susan Curtis.    More than 100 campers met with owner/driver Chris Bowie and had a chance to sit in Late Model race car.

Camp Susan Curtis is an Electricity Maine Power to Help Partner.   The Power to Help fund was developed by Electricity Maine to assist Maine non-profit and civic organizations maximize their exposure and fundraising efforts.  This spring each of the Electricity Maine Core Power to help partners received contributions for $20,000.

The programs of Camp Susan Curtis serve  Maine children who qualify for free or reduced school lunch. This summer 500 children will attend camp, each through a  referral from partner schools.  The two-week annual residential experience allows children to experience success in a unique environment of safety and non-judgmental acceptance, where every other child and many of the adults understand how it feels to live a life of economic challenge.
