The impressive list of Electricity Maine Power to Help partners continues to grow. Electricity Maine believes not only do we have the power to help build communities, but we believe as a Maine owned company, it is our responsibility to do so.
With that mission in mind, Electricity Maine created the Power to Help fund. Core partners are non profit organization that work to help people obtain the skills and resources they need to create better lives for themselves and their families. Core partners include:
- The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy
- Good Shepherd Food-Bank
- New Beginnings
- Preble Street Teen Services
- St. Mary’s Nutrition Center of Maine
- The Shaw House
- Tedford Housing
This particular group of partners are supported through specific rate plans in which Electricity Maine donates 2% of the electricity supply to help prevent hunger and homelessness, and support education and healthy living.
Power to Help Community Partners are any local group that needs to raise money for a cause-school sports teams, fire department, church building committee, rec club…you name it.
