Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) is excited to announce a new partnership with ENH Power called ‘Choose the Power to Keep Kids SAFE!”

ENH Power, along with Electricity Maine and Provider Power Mass, is part of the Provider Power family of companies.  ENH Power is a New England based electricity supply company, while providing competitive, fixed rates on electricity is their business, it is also the vehicle that allows them to support community.  Through the Power to Help fund, ENH Power supports a variety of New Hampshire groups and organizations, helping them to raise awareness and funds for the work they do.  SASS is just one of ENH Power’s 2-dozen Power to Help partners.

SASS serves 42 cities and towns throughout Rockingham and Strafford Counties and for the past 35 years has been dedicated to the prevention of sexual assault, sexual abuse and stalking, while providing 24-hour confidential support to victims/survivors and others impacted by sexual violence. Each year SASS assists over 1200 survivors of sexual assault and reaches over 10,000 school-aged children through its Safe Kids Strong Teens violence prevention education program.

Executive Director Kathy Beebe explains how support from ENH Power will impact the agency “SASS is so appreciative that ENH Power has chosen SASS as one of their community partners!  This wonderful partnership will raise both awareness and much-needed financial support and will assist us in reaching thousands of children in grades K-12 with our Safe Kids Strong Teens prevention education program.”To launch its newest charitable partnership, ENH Power and the Portsmouth Country Club are hosting a Party for SASS! from 5:30pm to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17th at the Portsmouth Country Club in Greenland.

This networking event is free of charge and will offer hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.  In addition, Rick Labell, a motivational speaker, police detective and former rock musician will share his powerful message of overcoming adversity as a youth at risk.

ENH Power is offering attendees who bring their electricity bill to the event a free raffle entry fora “Power Night for 4” (dinner at Portsmouth Country Club any Friday May-October and 4 tickets to any Main Stage 2014 Productions at the Seacoast Repertory Theater) and a $100 certificate for golf or the Clipper Restaurant at Portsmouth Country Club and an autographed photograph with the famous Safe Kids Strong Teens Puppets!
