Electricity Maine & Pirates “Goals for Good” program to support New Beginnings

PiratesLogo_tag-round-4CElectricity Maine is joining three other Maine owned companies as corporate partners of the Goals for Good program.  Each of the sponsors has an in-ice advertisement for the 2013-14 season on at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee.  For every goal scored by the Pirates from the sponsor’s portion of the ice, a $100 donation will be made to the charity of the sponsor’s choosing.  Electricity Maine will be sponsoring their Power to Help partners at New Beginnings.

The amount each charity will receive will be tracked online on the Pirates website, portlandpirates.com/community/goalsforgood, as well as announced during every Pirates home game.

Lewiston based New Beginnings has served runaway and homeless youth and Maine families in crisis for more than 30 years.  Their services provide a “safety net” for over 750 youth each year who don’t have a stable family support and are at the risk of homelessness.Unknown

Electricity Maine’s Power to Help fund was created to help local organizations do what they do best, help people.    Electricity Maine is partnering with more than two dozen non-profit and civic groups, providing the tools and support each organization needs to help them maximize fundraising potential.

The other Maine companies participating in the Goals for Good program are LL Bean supporting Healthy Hometowns, On Target Utility Services supporting ME Children’s Cancer Program and Baxter Brewing Co. supporting Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice .
