    You Can Choose Your Maine Electricity Company<\/h3>\n
    In Maine, residents and businesses have the power to choose their electricity supplier.<\/p>\n
    Your local electricity company, such as CMP or Emera, is the utility \u2013 they own the light poles, wires and other infrastructure that gets the power to your home or business. But you can choose a different Maine electricity company, such as Electricity Maine to supply that power to the utility.<\/p>\n
    When you switch to Electricity Maine, your utility will remain responsible for delivering the electricity to your home or place of business, and they will still be the point of contact in the event of an outage. You\u2019ll continue to receive a bill from your utility, but Electricity Maine will appear as a line item on your bill.<\/p>\n
